Amcor is fully committed to sustainability in the beauty sector, presenting a series of innovative solutions that redefine the approach to cosmetic packaging. The innovations, on display at Luxe Pack Monaco (29th September - 1st October) and London Packaging Week (15th-16th October), demonstrate how attractive design and environmental responsibility can coexist without compromise.
Mono-material: the key to circularity
The star of the show is the new Grace head, which evolves the Wave 2CC pump towards a completely mono-material design in polyolefin. This design choice not only improves the aesthetics and functionality of the dispenser, but most importantly guarantees complete recyclability where appropriate infrastructure exists. The head can also be produced using Amcor's CleanStream PCR polypropylene, certified for contact-sensitive applications.
The mono-material approach also extends to PP lipsticks, designed for top-fill processes and completely recyclable, also available in PCR versions.
Sustainable travel sizes for the circular economy
Particular attention should be paid to the expansion of the Exclusive Stick and Refill range with three new travel formats (15ml, 20ml, 25ml) that respond to the growing demand for refillable packaging. The refill system not only promotes reuse, but also generates material savings of up to 11.5 grammes per unit, with the possibility of using 100% PCR material.
Technological innovation for production efficiency
On the efficiency front, Amcor presents its patented technology for the production of roll-on balls that significantly reduces material waste during the production process, demonstrating how technological innovation can contribute to sustainability even upstream in the supply chain.
