With PaperFlow(re) P-type, adapa Group offers a paper-based packaging solution that successfully combines these requirements, providing manufacturers with a practical pathway towards more circular packaging concepts. Having successfully passed the demanding CEPI recyclability test, PaperFlow(re) P-type has demonstrated its recyclability within standard paper recycling streams. The solution combines a high paper content with the functional performance required for industrial packaging applications and is already being successfully used by international customers across multiple product categories.
“PaperFlow(re) P-type exemplifies our approach to developing packaging solutions that combine sustainability with technical performance,” says Richard Bell, Director of Innovation at adapa Group. “What makes this solution particularly valuable is that it enables customers to advance their circular economy goals while remaining fully compatible with existing production environments. The growing adoption of PaperFlow(re) P-type demonstrates that circular packaging can also be practical and commercially viable.”
Developed for a wide range of food applications
The PaperFlow(re) P-type product family is available in paper grammages of 70, 80 and 90 gsm and comes in both standard and high-barrier versions. This makes the solution suitable for a broad range of applications, including snacks, crisps, chocolate, biscuits, and cereals. In addition to its recyclability, the packaging also delivers a premium shelf appearance. Its specially engineered structure reduces creases and fold marks, helping brands maintain an attractive presentation at the point of sale and enhancing shelf appeal. To further expand application possibilities, PaperFlow(re) P-type is also available as a pre-made pouch with a reclosable zipper feature, combining consumer convenience with the benefits of paper-based packaging
Integration into existing packaging processes
A key advantage of PaperFlow(re) P-type is its machine compatibility. A thin PP layer provides the dimensional stability and reliable heat-sealing performance required for industrial packaging operations. Suitable for both horizontal and vertical form-fill-seal machines (HFFS/VFFS), the solution supports efficient production while meeting the performance requirements of modern packaging applications.
The innovation behind PaperFlow(re) P-type was recently recognised with the Pap'Award in the category “Circularity in Food Packaging”.
