Hera Group and Panini launch “A dream called recycling”

The new sticker album where waste becomes collectible stickers is now available, an educational project already introduced in several primary schools to raise awareness among children and families about separate waste collection

The waste items take center stage in “A Dream Called Recycling”, the sticker album created by the Hera Group in collaboration with Panini, the renowned Modena-based company specializing in collectible editorial products, and the communication agency Armando Testa. This educational project has just been launched in several primary schools in Bologna and Modena, designed to guide children through the world of waste management using a fun, imaginative tool that speaks directly to their world. Through stickers and games, the album tells a story with a happy ending, in which waste items have a “dream in the bin”: to become something valuable. Children follow a fantastical narrative that takes them from the creation of waste all the way to its transformation in processing plants, highlighting the services Hera provides to communities and the daily work of ecological operators

Project details

The pilot initiative aims to involve nearly two thousand students between March and May 2026, following schedules agreed upon with teachers. During the sessions, children will receive the albums and stickers and have the opportunity to talk with environmental educators from La Grande Macchina del Mondo (Hera Group’s long-running educational program for schools), exploring themes such as sustainability, circular economy, resource protection, and separate waste collection. Throughout the project period, participants will also be able to obtain additional sticker packs for free by bringing waste to all ecological stations in Bologna and the Leonardo recycling center in Modena. This approach aims to actively involve families as well, encouraging virtuous behavior and fostering greater awareness of environmental services. Hera’s educators will also award a special prize to the first completed album.

Plastibolla and Scartolina’s Dream

The album features charming characters created by the Armando Testa agency, each representing a type of waste, all sharing the same dream: to be reborn in a new form. Alongside Plastibolla, made of plastic packaging, and Scartolina, made of paper and cardboard, there are Metallaro, Vetrinozzo TinTin, Nucciabuccia, CamyRami, Mister Miscuglio, Oliastro Esausto, Max Ingombro, and Tekno. Ten colorful and amusing friends who, through games and fun facts, guide children inside the plants where dreams come true. Every item disposed of in the right place contributes to a better world. Some will be reborn as energy, some will become paper or plastic again, some will turn into biofuel, and others will be repaired and reused- all for the good of the planet.
