ULMA Packaging will present a range of innovative sustainable packaging solutions for the fruit and vegetable sector at Fruit Logistica 2026, taking place in Berlin from 4 to 6 February 2026.
A wide range of solutions capable of handling sustainable materials, from recyclable films to paper-recyclable options, will characterize ULMA Packaging’s presence at the event (Hall 1.1, Stand A-10).
Trayless flow pack packaging
The SIENNA LS BI, a Flow Pack solution, will be exhibited for celery packaging using BOPP film, a fully recyclable monomaterial that protects the product, preserves freshness, and prevents damage during handling. The SIENNA LS BI stands out for its operational flexibility, able to handle a wide variety of fresh produce without complex adjustments. Its electronic control system allows rapid setting of bag length, temperature, and speed, ensuring a stable and consistent production flow. Stainless steel construction, easy cleaning access, and a reliability-focused design make it ideal for lines requiring frequent changeovers and continuous operation
100% recyclable flow pack for pears
The FR 200 Flow Pack will demonstrate 100% recyclable fruit packaging: Conference Pears in cardboard trays with paper film and a mesh window. This edition features the new Flex Set system, simplifying the adjustment of grippers for materials of varying thicknesses, reducing downtime, and increasing line availability.
Cardboard tray packaging
ULMA Packaging presents an innovative solution for fruit in cardboard trays sealed with compostable cellulose film, produced on the TSA 680 P tray sealer. This application significantly reduces plastic use without compromising protection or functionality. The TSA 680 P combines high performance (up to 150 trays/minute depending on format) with maximum versatility, processing RPET, cardboard, or compostable trays with recyclable top films.
100% recyclable paper bags
At Fruit Logistica 2026, ULMA will present a packaging solution for citrus in paper bags with a window, fully recyclable and designed to provide a premium presentation. Applied on the VTC 840, the machine handles vegetable-based or paper materials with stability and high productivity. Its robust layout and precise forming and sealing system make it the ideal solution for introducing paper and natural material packaging into production lines without compromising efficiency.
Digitalization
In addition to sustainable material solutions, ULMA will showcase digital and efficiency-oriented innovations, including real-time consumption measurement, centralized recipe management, and automatic reporting, enabling greater control of the entire process, more efficient resource management, and advanced connectivity.
