The collaboration between Nucao and Koehler Paper continues

Koehler Paper's "Koehler NexPlus Advanced" packaging paper, which has excellent barrier properties against oxygen, mineral oils and fats, is also used for Nucao chocolate bars.

The 100% recyclable paper is suitable for vertical and now horizontal packaging machines. Nucao's "Crisp & Crunch", "Almond Butter & Sea Salt", "Roasted Hazelnut Butter", "Creamy Strawberry" and "Salted Caramel" bars are the first paper wrapped chocolate bars on the German market.

Alexander Rauer, Business Developer for Paper Packaging at Koehler Paper, explains:

From a technical point of view, this is a revolutionary innovation because vertical packaging machines have a very high production speed. To be processed in this way, the paper must have very good strength properties and a low thickness.

"Koehler NexPlus Advanced" now offers all the properties required to achieve production speeds of 600 bar/min with this packaging paper. The fact that the brand owner, the packaging paper manufacturer, the printer and the packaging machine manufacturer were all involved in the development from the very beginning meant that the time to market could be drastically reduced.
