From the stage of K 2025, the world's most important plastics trade fair, GreenDot Group reaffirms its commitment to a sustainable future for plastics. The exhibition's motto, "The Power of Plastics! Green – Smart – Responsible", perfectly reflects the group's philosophy as it celebrates 35 years of Der Grüne Punkt, the pioneer of closed-loop recycling in Germany.
The Excellence of Premium Recyclate
At the heart of GreenDot's offering stands Systalen, the premium recyclate obtained from separate collection waste (yellow bag and yellow bin) and available in PP and LDPE variants. This innovative solution transforms packaging waste into high-quality packaging, concretely demonstrating how it is possible to close material cycles and conserve natural resources.
During the fair, visitors will be able to experience Systalen processing live at the Reifenhäuser Technical Centre in Troisdorf, where high-quality LDPE film destined for packaging is produced. A unique opportunity to witness sustainable innovation firsthand.
Strategic Vision for the Circular Economy
"We are delighted to be actively shaping the future of plastics recycling together with our partners and customers," declares Laurent Auguste, CEO of GreenDot. "Our innovative solutions make the vision of a closed-loop circular economy more tangible every day."
The Group's reach extends beyond Germany: sorting facilities in Milan and Austria, including TriPlast (one of the world's most advanced for light packaging waste), ensure a continuous supply of valuable secondary raw materials. The partnership with Forplast further expands possibilities, producing recycled HDPE for bottle-to-bottle applications and the construction sector.
Investments for the Future
GreenDot invests heavily in infrastructure for both mechanical and chemical recycling, responding to growing demand for high-quality recyclates for films, bottle-to-bottle, and food-grade applications. The integration of state-of-the-art sorting and processing systems increases the availability of recycled polyolefins from household waste for products with stringent quality standards.
The group's approach embraces the entire value chain: from strategic partnerships to consultancy for eco-compatible packaging design, from international projects to optimisation of municipal collection systems.
